Eu3a Magazine - Autumn 2025
From the Chair
Dear Members,
We hope you enjoyed the summer sunshine and its many outings! Highlights included Di’s Days Out, Jeannie Gordon’s Adventurous Explorers, a fascinating visit to Legal London and the Inns of Court, thrilling kite buggying on Camber Sands, and a wonderful event at Walton Bowling Club.
We’re delighted to welcome Christina Daly as our new Speaker Secretary. She will be a great asset to our team. A big thank you to Nikki Lindsey for her excellent work in the role — we now look forward to her leading Affiliations, bringing new opportunities and stronger links with the wider Elmbridge community.
Our updated Code of Conduct is now available. This simple, clear guide helps ensure u3a remains welcoming, respectful, and inclusive. It sets out how we can all work together positively and ensures everyone feels safe, valued, and heard. It isn’t about rules for the sake of it — it’s about making sure our activities and conversations remain enjoyable for all. A copy is enclosed with the printer copy of this Magazine. We encourage all members to read it and keep u3a the friendly and engaging community we are all so proud of.
In addition, several key documents have been created/reviewed to support the smooth running of our u3a:
New: Safeguarding Policy, Health & Safety Policy
Updated: Complaints Policy, Group Leaders’ Roles & Responsibilities
These, along with the Code of Conduct, can be found on the Members page of our website. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with them.
Finally, a reminder that membership renewal time is here. Don’t forget to renew and continue to Learn, Laugh and Live with us.
Thank you for being part of our wonderful community.

Nigel
