Christina Daly – Speaker Secretary

My involvement with Eu3a was brisk. After a coffee meeting with Peter
Andrew, new members secretary, with his masterful salesmanship, we
thought I should try taking over from Nikki Lindsey as speaker secretary. All
this I might add occurred prior to my attendance at the new member meeting.

It was felt that my 40 years of administration skills would be a good fit
for the role. I'm currently a novice with a huge learning curve to climb.

So far, it's been enjoyable and colleagues very supportive.
I am a member of one of the Eu3a Book Groups. This particular group
has been together for over 19 years. A great achievement. The
members have been extremely welcoming. My biggest interest is
travel. If I could I would always have my suitcase packed. My favourite
country is Italy. I love the scenery and the people. The ice cream isn't
too bad either! Next year I will visit Antarctica - a lifetime's dream.

Bushy Park is a place I love where I am a Volunteer Ranger. It’s a role I
thoroughly enjoy, answering visitors’ questions on a variety of issues
from the history of the park to plants and wildlife. The deer are very
important so visitors need to keep a safe distance and keep their dogs
under control.

My four little grandchildren keep me on my toes and hopefully young
at heart. I shall do my best to find interesting speakers and look
forward to meeting many of you at the monthly talks.
