Adventurous Activities
Riding high and messing around

A very small but select group of us decided that as we hadn’t been horse riding for many years (and in my case only once before) it would be lovely to join the aristocracy and ride on Rotten Row. I
On a beautiful sunny day we mounted our chargers, some more gracefully than others!, and set off. Just maintaining balance on the horse was quite a challenge but once we got the hang of it we strolled through some amazing bijou mews and on in to Hyde Park. The horses were quite wilful, wanting to stop and munch the leaves on the way but we all managed to stay in the saddle and enjoy a gentle ride in the park.
Driving diggers with bravery

After a quick demo we were allowed to drive the very large diggers on our own at Diggerland in Kent. Admittedly the speeds were not great but we managed not to crash into one another. Hooking ducks and knocking over pegs using a weight on the end of a swinging chain was the first activity. Concentration needed! Our next challenge was picking up very large tyres and trying to pile them on top of another.
We were allowed to crash into one another in the bumper cars on site
Altogether it was a Grand Day Out. Next Activity Kite Surfing on Camber Sands. Watch this space!
