A Schoolgirl's War

Mary Smith tells the story of school life during WW2 and features the recently discovered and exquisite art work of a WW2 school art teacher at a secondary school where she was headteacher.

Secrets of the Thames

Step back through centuries of London’s history with Secrets of the Thames, the London Museum’s immersive mud-larking exhibition revealing the river’s hidden treasures. From ancient artifacts to modern discoveries, our group will uncover how the Thames has shaped life, trade, and culture for millennia.
On arrival we can buy lunch at one of the local eateries before beginning a self-guided tour of this exhibition, followed by a guided tour of the Docklands museum itself.
Cost £40 to include coach, tours and driver's tip
Approx timings: Leave Xcel leisure centre at 10am, returning 6pm

Eu3a Jazz Band at the Hersham Community Centre
The Elmbridge U3A Jazz Band will be appearing at the Hersham Community Centre, 30th January 2026, starting at 12:30 (a one-hour session)

Funny on Thames
The New Year kicks off in style, and with lots of laughs ,with the presentation on 21 January of Funny on Thames at the Cecil Hepworth Playhouse. The headliner is the multi-award winning Felicity Ward, together with some great support acts. The full details can be found by following this link.

Age UK have offered to give Elmbridge u3a members their very popular presentation - Keep living the life you want. This FREE event includes a host of topics that cover planning for your future so that you can get on with living the life you want and includes a guide to producing your own to-do list.
The presentation will be on Monday 26th January 2026
